Pasquale Pace received the Laurea degree (B.Sc.+M.Sc) in Computer Engineering in 2000, from the University of Calabria, Italy, with a thesis titled "Performance analysis of Connection Admission Control algorithms for GEO ATM-Satellite Systems with on-board processing".

Since January 2001 he has been working at the same university in the Telecommunication Research Group as a participant to:

  • the partnership of an European Project funded by ESA (European Space Agency) titled Ka-Band GEO System Technology and Demonstrator (Phase II) - 2002
  • the partnership of a Research Programme of National Relevant Interest PRIN titled CABIS "Code Division Multiple Access for Broadband Mobile Terrestrial-Satellite Integrated Systems" - 2002
  • the partnership of a Research Programme of National Relevant Interest PRIN titled SHINES "Integration of Satellite Systems and High Altitude Platforms in Heterogeneous Communications Networks" - 2004
  • the partnership of a Research Programme of National Relevant Interest PRIN titled NADIR "Design and assessment of protocols and distributed algorithms for Quality of Service mesh networks" - 2007

Since November 2002 he has been a Telecommunication Ph.D. candidate at the University of Calabria, Italy.

In 2005 he has been visiting researcher at CCSR (Centre for Communication Systems Research) University of Surrey - Guildford - UK, working on Cost and Demand Sensitive models for evaluation of SDMB (Satellite Digital Multimedia Broadcast) service over integrated satellite-terrestrial UMTS networks.

In 2006 he has been visiting researcher at Broadband and Wireless Networking Laboratory - Georgia Institute of Technology - Atlanta-USA, working on adaptive and responsive transport protocols for Wireless Mesh Networks.

In December 2005 he received the PhD in Computer Science Engineering from University of Calabria (Italy) with a thesis entitled "Connection Admission Control and routing issues over Multilayered Satellite-Hap Networks supporting DVB-RCS". alt

Since January 2006, he is a research fellow within the
Department of Electronics, Computer and System Sciences (D.E.I.S.) - University of Calabria - ITALY.

Since November 2012, he is an assistant professor within the Department of Computer Engineering, Modeling, Electronics and Systems (D.I.M.E.S) - University of Calabria - ITALY.
